26 Days...

6 hours...is all thats left til Christmas day arrives! If like me your Christmas spirit has dampened as you've gotten older, then you'll know Christmas spirit often needs working on. I love Christmas, I mostly, since I've gotten past the Santa Claus phase enjoy preparing for Christmas, buying presents, listening to Christmas music, etc etc.

Normally a good Christmas film (ie Elf) gets me in the mood pretty sharpish, or a cold afternoon lazing about listening to Christmas music does the trick too.

However nothing signals Christmas arriving in our house til our Advent Tree comes down from the loft. This tree has probably been in our possession for a good 5 years if not slightly longer, it was bought from QVC.

Its a pot tree, with little hooks coming out of the branches, you can turn it round and it plays music.

Next is this lovely little cupboard with 24 little doors.

 Behind each door lies a little trinket which fastens onto the tree each day in the lead up to Christmas.

This is probably my most favourite Christmas decoration that we own, my brother, my mum and myself all still fight over who gets to open the door and put the decoration on the tree. Not long now til it takes pride of place in the living room!

Love You To Death

We threw my best friend a surprise birthday party on Thursday night, which turned out notto be a surprise at all, seen as she came home early and saw us all run into the living room to hide. MASSIVE FAIL. Still the effort was appreciated and it was a really fun night, we bought far too much party food and ate it all! Whoops.

Apart from the above Lemon Torté which the dog ate....thats what you get when you leave tasty goods in the eye line of a dog.

Pretty quiet weekend ahead. I have a ton of uni work I need to plough through, which is going to take up the majority of today. Boo :(

The Only Solution

I could quite happily trawl through weheartit for hours and hours at a time, I just love looking through all the different images...

Anyhoo, I am having another stab at blogging, I was previously sweet vintage kisses, however I didnt really put as much time and effort into it as I wanted, and I was kind of lost for the direction I wanted to go in.

This time round, I am feeling a lot more positive and I want this to be my space where I can record and then look back, kind of like a scrapbook!!

So watch this space!!!
